'X Factor' 2015: Joe Waller Quits Show Following Successful Audition: 'I Felt It Was The Best Thing For My Career'

'X Factor' Hopeful Reveals Why He's QUIT The Show

X Factor’ hopeful Joe Waller has revealed how he quit the show following his successful audition.

Viewers saw the 23-year-old primary school teacher make it through to Bootcamp on Sunday (13 September) night’s episode, after making quite an impression on a flirty Rita Ora.

However, just before his audition aired on the ITV talent show, Joe told fans he withdrew from the competition shortly after receiving his four yeses.

"So mid week I received a completely random email from the X Factor Team,” he explained on one of his social media site (via The Mirror).

"Although I made the choice to not continue in the programme because I felt it was the best thing for my career at the time, they have decided to air my audition.

"SO I PROMISE I DIDN'T LIE ABOUT ANYTHING... But they have chosen to air my audition even though I chose to leave."

He then admitted he feared being edited to look bad by the show’s producers, having actually messed up his first song.

Joe continued: “The only worrying thing is.... TV editors have the ability to mould a number of shots into any story and although I was true to myself and to both of my professions it still is a worrying concept.

"If you have read previous comments on here I messed up my first song and did well on the second which is how I got through. So there is a possibility they will show me messing up and nothing else.... But that's what I signed up for and they have the right to do so.

"The directors have assured me it is all good footage I'm just preparing for anything at the moment," he added.

The show only aired footage of his original song, ‘Stay’, which impressed judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.

"Thank you for making my eyes light up," Rita told him.

After the show aired, he posted on Instagram: “So last night was a crazy. But it's an amazing feeling to have all these new people that I can share my music with :) ..... and it feels even more crazy that I'm waking this morning to go and teach!!

“I have been working my arse off for nearly 2 years gigging everywhere and anywhere and it feels like something has fallen my way and I just hope you can keep enjoying my stuff :) x,” he added, revealing he would be releasing an EP in the near future.

'The X Factor' continues on Saturday 19 September at 8pm on ITV.
