One Young World

Bringing together young people from all over the world to "help them make lasting connections to create positive change"

The One Young World Summit is being staged in Johannesburg between 2 and 5 October, and according to the organisers is the single biggest youth-dominated event outside the Olympic Games.

Founded in 2009 by David Jones and Kate Robertson, One Young World is a London-based charity that brings together young people from all over the world in order to "help them make lasting connections to create positive change". The annual Summit involves young delegates, backed by the One Young World Counsellors, debating and formulating solutions for global issues.

The next One Young World Summit takes place in Dublin, Ireland 15 - 19 October 2014.
