A renewable transport fuel expert, recently retired from the Renewable Energy Association

A graduate of Cambridge University, Clare was a Government official for 10 years. She moved into political consultancy in London and Brussels, specialising in agriculture, food and international trade issues. After four years as Corporate Affairs Director in the private sector, Clare went on to work for a range of clients including the Renewable Energy Association where, for 10 years she spearheaded the development of renewable transport fuels policy in the UK. With transport the UK’s biggest carbon emitter, Clare believes that the decarbonisation of fuels is an essential contribution to the UK’s Carbon Budgets under the Climate Change Act.
