Joseph Yackley

Academic and author, writing about Middle Eastern history, politics, and economics

Joseph Yackley is a PhD Candidate at the University of Chicago. He has spent much of the past decade in Europe and the Middle East writing about political risk in emerging markets. He is a Fulbright scholar and has held fellowships from the Robert Bosch Foundation, the U.S. Department of State, and the International Center for Journalists. He is a co-author of Risk Rules: How Local Politics Threaten the Global Economy.
