Former child soldier and refugee
Monday was abducted when he was nine-years-old, taken out of school, and forced into a brutal civil war. Like thousands of other northern Ugandan children, he was ripped from his family and community, abused, and forced to fight in a conflict he didn’t understand. The children caught up in the long and bloody battle between President Museveni’s Government and Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) are often described as the Invisible Children – they, like Monday, disappeared and never returned.
