Reverend Simon Barnes

Charity Chief Executive

I lived and worked in the USA for 25 years. I became President and Executive Director of the Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools Inc. (FOCUS) at the age of 27.

I then joined Geneva Global Limited as Senior Vice President and Director of Advisory Services. This organisation supports individuals making life-changing philanthropic investments.

My final role in the US was Executive Vice President of the American Bible Society, where I stayed for five years.

I returned to the UK where I joined the international development charity Send a Cow as Chief Executive in June 2014, after spending a year volunteering in Africa. I helped develop the charity's strategy and its plans for growth, as well as strengthen its organisation, systems and processes. I left Send a Cow in Spring 2016.
