It is my belief that by leveraging the maximum funding for GP services, we can build a better future for London and its residents. We cannot have new homes and then neglect the social amenities that underpin new communities. To make London a decent place to live and work, we must adopt an holistic approach.
How many illegal immigrants are there in the UK? Unlike other such questions - how many 12 year olds are there in the UK? How many gay Jews? - where, although we don't know the exact answer, either survey and administrative data allows us to make an informed and reasonably accurate guess, we don't know, even approximately. But a new initiative by the Metropolitan Police suggests that the number may in fact be surprisingly low.
The World Pride organisers have made mistakes and must share some of the blame for the current fiasco. However, they are not the sole villains. The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, could have rescued Pride but has apparently chosen to not do so. The actions and inactions of the Greater London Authority (GLA) have compounded the problems that Pride now faces.
Voters pick their candidate based on a huge variety of issues. They aren't always the important issues that political strategists and pollsters spend late nights worrying over. Often how their mum was treated at the local GP, or next door's planning application for a ghastly extension is what really matters to Voter X.
