At this party - with so many people in one room - my mind scattered so I fell straight into my old habits from way back in childhood; getting people laugh to get their approval. Why I need to do this I don't know. It could be because as a child I always thought the more people I could get to like me, the more protected I was from my parents' abuse.

Results show major gains in the European Parliament for anti-integration, Euroskeptic parties which span the ideological spectrum from the extreme-right National Front which won the ballot in France, to the far-left Syriza Party which came first in Greece.
With the weather improving, and the Bank Holiday almost upon us, many of us will be hoping to get outdoors and spend some quality time with family and friends. If the sun shines, it's a great opportunity to crack open the barbecue, gather your nearest and dearest and really celebrate the warmer weather together.
So what can we do to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe? It's easy to say 'don't get drunk' but it can be hard to stay sober on party night. However, problem drinking is avoidable and preventable, so please feel free not to drink to excess, or at all, if that works for you. Plan ahead for how you will say no to alcohol, and stick to it.

My best mate is turning 30 in November, and has sadly told me, instead of having a full on two day bender of a birthday, she is keeping it "low key", because sadly, she doesn't think any our friends would come.
