Is Channel 4 pushing its luck with the good taste police?
According to reports a terminally ill man has been mummified for a new show.
The Daily Mail says “the broadcaster looks likely to face questions over taste after agreeing to air the macabre documentary, Mummifying Alan”.
It will be shown on Channel 4 later this month and is first “embalming” to be broadcast on television.
The family of Alan, who is from the West Country, will also explain why he agreed to take part.
The Daily Mirror reports: “He had been interested in preservation techniques used on pharaoh Tutankhamun, found in Egypt in 1922.”

Meanwhile the paper quotes a Channel 4 spokesman as saying: “Using complex ingredients, embalmers managed to almost stop decomposition.”
