Manchester United will meet neighbours and current holders, Manchester City, at the Etihad Stadium next month after being drawn together in the stand-out tie of the FA Cup third round.
The two clubs, who have 16 FA Cup win between them, have already met twice this season - in the FA Community Shield that United won 3-2 but more memorably at Old Trafford in October when City stunned their neighbours, 6-1.
Other ties of note include Leeds United visiting the Emirates to play Arsenal, an all-London derby at The Cottage where Fulham entertain rivals Charlton, two midland derbies featuring Nottingham Forest versus Leicester City and Birmingham City playing Wolves while Bristol Rovers, currently 18th League Two can look forward to a home tie against Aston Villa.
Amongst the non-League clubs still in the competition, Tamworth have pulled off the big one with a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton while Shrewsbury Town travel to Championship side Middlesbrough and Lancashire side Fleetwood will be praying they can get past Yeovil in their second round replay to set up a local north-west derby with Blackpool.
All ties are played on the weekend of 7/8 January 2012
