iPad 3 Launch March 7: What To Expect

iPad 3 Launch March 7: What To Expect

The invitations have been sent out (right in the middle of Google's keynote speech at Mobile World Congress) and the iPad 2 sales are stalling.

The details on the invite give nothing away, simply reading "We have something you really have to see. And touch."

Apple's launch of the new iPad 3 is imminent, so what should we expect?

The rumours:

The Telegraph says that new iPad 3 is expected to offer a higher resolution Full HD screen.

Bloomberg believes that the iPad 3 will pack a quad-core processor.

ComputerWorld took a literal slant, saying that if the image on the invite is not digitally altered, then the iPad 3 will have no "home" button.

MacRumours says we should expect a thicker iPad. They believe the iPad 3 will have a 9.5mm aluminium shell.

Delivery date:

So whether the rumours are true or not, when can we get one?

Apple.pro reported via Sina Weibo, China's version of Twitter, that a delivery of iPad 3 unites has been shipped from China to the US already.

Whether an iPad 3 is announced, or another gadget, delivery should be expected shortly following the announcement.
