A farmer claims to have killed the largest fox ever seen in Britain.
Alan Hepworth from Aberdeenshire said he shot the 38lb 10oz fox near his home.
The fox measured 4ft 9in, according to the Telegraph.
Several other very large foxes have been caught in recent months and publicised in the media.
A 4ft 3in dog fox was killed by a man in West Sussex in January and another large animal was caught and killed in Maidstone, Kent, according to the Daily Mail.
Experts quoted by the Telegraph suggest that the size of the fox may be down to easier access to food in urban areas.
The average size of a fox is usually between 2 and 3 feet in length.
