The wait is nearly over! Apple has confirmed that the new iPad will arrive in stores in 12 countries this Friday, 16 March.
At 8:00 a.m. local time, the new version will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, , the US Virgin Islands, Singapore, Switzerland, Puerto Rico as well as in the UK and USA, where there are reports of customers already queueing in New York and London for the new gadget, according to the Daily Mail.
The new iPad features:

* new A5X chip with quad-core graphics
* 5 megapixel iSight camera with advanced optics and 1080p HD video
* 10 hour battery life
From 23 March, the new iPad will be available in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
