It may not be as glamourous as stopping Bane crushing Gotham City, but since that city was saved, Batman seems to be finding his bread and butter in Bradford, sorting out routine burglary suspects.

Police reported that a man dressed as the caped crusader Batman, with a slightly less sculpted frame than Christian Bale, handed over a wanted 27-year-old man to Trafalgar House Police Station before vanishing into the night, according to the BBC.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The person who brought the wanted man into the station was dressed in a full Batman outfit. His identity, however, remains unknown."

The scene is highly reminiscent of a certain Only Fools and Horses episode where Del Boy and Rodney, save a council chief, dressed as masked duo Batman and Robin.

Police said in a statement that a 27-year-old man was arrested by officers on suspicion of burglary, fraud and breach of a court order and has since been charged with handing stolen goods and fraud related offences.

He is due to appeal at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on Friday, March 8.
