Two Arrested Over Pizza Shop Murder

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in a pizza takeaway shop.

The 30-year-old man was found unconscious in the takeaway in East Hill, Dartford, when police and ambulance were called at 11.30pm last night, according to Kent Police.

The man died at the scene despite the efforts of Kent Police officers and staff from South East Coast Ambulance Service, a spokesman said.

The two men arrested remain in custody today.

Janine Compton, spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 11.32pm last night, with reports of an adult male who had been assaulted and was in a serious condition.

"We sent two ambulance crews and a response car to the scene but despite the efforts of our crews at the scene, the patient was sadly pronounced as deceased at the scene."

Keith Fairbank, a spokesperson for Kent Police, said the man was pronounced dead at 12.28am. Mr Fairbank said that the arrested men are still in custody being questioned.
