Spirit raising, continuity, optimistic, future, looking forward and Labour bashing. David Cameron devoted much of his party conference speech, his seventh as Tory leader, to setting out a vision of a sunny future under a Conservative government.
He laid it on thick by declaring: "The land of despair was Labour, but the land of hope is Tory." He asked voters to let he and his government "finish the job we’ve started". And threw in some sharp attacks on Ed Miliband Labour as well.
