Is Emma Stone Woody Allen's New Muse? First 'Magic Moonlight', Then Woody's Next Project With Joaquin Phoenix

Guess Who's Woody's Latest A-List Muse

Woody Allen is known for having favourites when it comes to actresses starring in his films.

And, as Diane Keaton, Mia Farrow, Scarlett Johansson can all attest - it can mean the difference between an average big screen career and pulling off some of cinema's most memorable female roles, all under his watchful eye. Oh, and if you're Cate Blanchett, it means you get to walk off with an Oscar too, like Diane Keaton before her.

And the latest in this salubrious line? 'Spider-man' star Emma Stone.

Her first film for Woody Allen, 'Magic In The Moonlight' has yet to appear cinemas, but it seems Woody is so convinced by his latest leading lady that he's signed her up for his next venture - an as yet untitled project co-starring Joaquin Phoenix.

'Magic in the Moonlight' will be in cinemas from July, and co-stars Colin Firth as a man trying to uncover a swindle.

Meanwhile, Emma's biggest project, the rebooted Spider-man franchise, continues to flourish, with the second film in the series starring her boyfriend Andrew Garfield in the title role, sitting at the top of the UK box office.
