This baby deer loved having its tummy rubbed so much it cried out every time construction worker Anthony Dean went to put him back on the ground.
Dean, who discovered the animal with colleague Justin Lewis, was comforting it after they discovered the animal alone among thorns.
It was later returned to its mother when they tracked it down.
The video has been viewed nearly 1.5 million times on YouTube.
"He was tangled in some thorns and was pretty shaken up after we cut him loose, so we started rubbing his belly to calm him down.... which worked a little too well, as you can see," Lewis wrote on the video-sharing site.
"He followed us around the job site like a lost puppy for about an hour until I noticed a doe watching us from the hillside. Assuming this was his mother, I carried him about halfway up the hill while she watched attentively.
"I sat him down, he ran straight to her, and they walked off together."
