Jen Selter Proudly Poses With Her Super Svelte Mother Jill

She's 47, But Jen ‘The Bum' Selter's Mum Is Giving Her Daughter A Run For Her Money

The owner of the most famous bum on Instagram has revealed the source of her genetic good fortune – her mother.

‘Belfie’ star Jen Selter(that’s bum + selfie = belfie) has made a life’s work out of sharing photos of her curvy derriere with her 5.3million followers on Instagram, 810,000 on Twitter and 3,000,000+ on Facebook. (Phew!)

On Thursday Selter, her bum and her mum were among the highest trending searches on Google, thanks to this picture.

The 21-year-old spoke proudly of her 47-year-old mother Jill who “hits the gym 4-5 days a week” and credited her for motivating her to do the same.

She added: “You can do anything you set your mind to, no matter what your age or weight is. It is never too late to change your body.”

Writing for the NY Post last year, Selter revealed how she helped transform her mum’s body through regular exercise and advising dietary changes.

She said: "My mom has always been pretty thin, but she was a junk food addict and her only form of exercise was the occasional tennis game.”

And it’s perfectly plain to see all of that hard work has paid off.

Speaking to HuffPost, Selter revealed the secret to her shapely behind.

She said: "It takes dedication, perseverance, hard work and consistency. There is no secret pill, no special diet.

"What it comes down to is how hard you push yourself and how you overcome the mental challenge of getting yourself to the gym even when you really don't want to. Consistency leads to results."

She added: "Diet is also important. I eat every few hours to keep my metabolism running and I try to stay away from overly processed foods. Lots of lean meat, vegetables and fresh fruit. Fitness is a lifestyle.

"You must be mentally prepared to commit to it and be consistent with your health and fitness lifestyle in order to see results and as we know results don't happen overnight."
