- Jack P Shepherd Takes 'Corrie' Loyalty A Bit Too Far
As ‘Corrie’ devotees will be well aware, his soap character, David Platt, is currently being driven to breaking point by his wife’s ex-boyfriend, Callum Logan, with the show’s upcoming live episode focusing on the drama surrounding his family.
However, during a recent interview with The Mirror, he hinted that things could turn fatal for his character in the near future.
Jack admitted: “My contract is up in September, after the live…”
The newspaper noted he “seemed unsure” about his future on the soap, and when asked whether his contract would be renewed, he said simply: “I think so.”
The actor did admit that he thinks that David could give as could he gets with Callum, revealing that if push came to shove, he would do anything to protect his family, including his step-son, Max.
While the Platt family will be at the centre of the live episode, due to air next week, other ‘Corrie’ residents will also find themselves involved in other dramas.
The episode will see the departure of Hayley Tamaddon, while Roy Cropper will also be marking his birthday in style, over at his café, Roy’s Rolls.
