GTA 5 has created headlines all over the media - including at such established bastions of the British press as the BBC - for everything from its sales to how it's enraged small Scottish villages.

And of course there are several big controversies in the game's history which have also made their impact.

But we didn't know until today that the game was also covered by BBC stalwart Rory Cellan-Jones way back in May 1996, before it was even released.
