To beard or not to beard - not since the dawn of the Brazilian has hair been such a headline subject, and no one at all can seem to agree on whether they're in or out of fashion.

But with over 32,000 Instagram followers, Portland-based Brian DeLaurenti and Johnathan Dahl aka The Gay Beards are making their case for the lumberjack look.

The two best friends have been decorating their facial hair and posting the results since last year, and in the process showed us all the amazing things beards can be used for.
