Bulgarian students have chained the gates to their university and demanding the government resign, following months of protests over poverty and corruption.
Sofia University was locked up by its students, bringing academic business at the institution to a "complete halt", according to the Novinite news agency.
Thousands of Bulgarians took to the streets on Sunday to mark the 150th day of anti-government demonstrations, chanting “Resign,” “Mafia” and “Shame on you” as they passed parliament, AFP reported.

Chaining the gates of the country's biggest university was the latest step in a three-week protest by students, who had previously occupied a lecture hall.
Sit-ins, are also taking place at another 15 universities across the country. "We are protesting against poverty and unemployment", a student declaration said, quoted by AFP news agency. "We are protesting before we become beggars with a higher education."
