Dad Took 'Elf On The Shelf' To A Terrifying New Level In Hysterical Photos

This Dad Took 'Elf On The Shelf' To A Hysterical New Level

Parents are racking their brains to find the most creative scenarios for their elves in the now inescapable 'Elf on the Shelf' Christmas tradition.

However this dad might have just topped them all.

Rather than buy the elf, Joe Wynberg from Canada decided to go one step further and be the elf.

Wynberg's wife and mum-of-four Megan Wynberg wrote on Facebook on 30 November: "So we finally caved and decided to do the 'elf on the shelf' thing. The kids are going to be so surprised.

"We named our elf FLE and he will be in some pretty precarious spots over the next 24 days! Enjoy."

The mum uploaded a photo of her husband dressed as an elf hiding on top of the fridge.

The couple have been posting photos of FLE the elf in imaginative places since 1 December, much to the amusement of their friends and family.

And FLE the elf has certainly been up to some mischief. Alongside the hilarious photos, Megan Wynberg is writing captions to tell the story of the elf.

From being pushed out of the house to desperately trying to get back in, it's been a busy month.

Here's what FLE has been up to...

Eating the advent calendars.

Making a smelly mess.

Creating snow angels.

Hanging about.

Sitting on the chimney.

Messing with the tree.

Refusing to leave the house.

Swinging around.

The photos have received more likes and shares as the month has gone on.

"Oh my God I'm losing it, these are hilarious," one person wrote on the photo of FLE making snow angels.

"This is priceless, please tell me you're sharing this with your children?" commented another.

The human elf himself said people are now looking forward to what FLE is going to do every night, waiting for the photo to be posted at 9pm.

He told BuzzFeed News: "I don’t think we were planning to all 24 days at first, but now we’re kind of forced to".

We can't wait to see what FLE has in store for the rest of the month.
