This Is Why You Shouldn't Cry After A Spray Tan

'Spray tan tears won't go away.'

Fake tan rules are pretty extensive - exfoliate, no body creams, loose clothing. But having an argument with your partner post-application isn't something you'd think to avoid.

Sadly, one girl learned the importance of this the hard (but hilarious) way when she had a spray tan before her school’s senior prom.

The below post by 17-year-old Skyler Davis, from Ohio, has since gone viral. "Spray tan tears don't go away," she captioned the snap.

Speaking to BuzzFeed News, Davis explained the tears were a result of an argument with her boyfriend.

"As soon as my tears started coming, I saw I had no tissues in my car and knew I was doomed," she said.

"All of a sudden there were white streaks on my once-tan face. Looking in the mirror, I only began to cry more, and there was absolutely nothing I could do but let the tears roll down my face and completely ruin my spray tan."

Luckily, Davis washed the tan off as soon as she got home and returned to the salon to get it re-done the next day. She has also since made up with her boyfriend.

"I have to admit it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen," he said.
