Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams joined forces to announce the first installment of the 57th Grammy Awards nominations live on US television on Friday morning.

Sheeran, who has been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, will battle it out with Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith at the awards ceremony on 8 February next year.
