Study Reveals Men Fake Orgasms Too, But How?

'It's fairly easy if you're using a condom.'

Think it's just women who fake orgasms? Think again.

A new study has uncovered that men are also prone to putting on the 'Big O' during sex, perhaps more often than you think.

Researchers quizzed a sample of 230 men aged 18 to 29, recruited through online crowdsourcing platform Mechanical Turk, who had identified as feigning orgasm on at least one occasion.

On average, participants reported feigning orgasm during approximately one quarter of sexual encounters in their current relationship.

The researchers, based at the University of Quebec and Montreal, found men most commonly faked orgasm during vaginal sex.

They found that feigning orgasm was most commonly associated with "poor sexual experience" and "poor partner choice", both of which left the man with lower levels of desire and relationship satisfaction.

On a slightly more romantic note, they found that men who reported being happy in their relationship faked orgasm to "support a partner's emotional wellbeing".

But how do men actually fake an orgasm?

Previously speaking to The Huffington Post UK, dating blogger The Guyliner said he's got first hand experience of feigning an orgasm and apparently, faking it as a man isn't all that hard.

"It's fairly easy if you're using a condom. Even if you don't know the person you're having sex with that well, you can usually tell when it's time for you to begin your performance," he said.

"As their cheeks start to flush and their movements become more… well, frantic, now's your big moment. Make all the right noises, get your breathing to that special rhythm and let go.

"In the heat of the moment, nobody's going to be double-checking the condom...Just remove it, and yourself, and head to the bathroom to get rid of it before anyone starts asking any questions.

"Without a condom, it's trickier, but there's usually so much going on, there isn't time to stop and assess exactly what's happened and what hasn't."

So, there you have it.
