Photo Of A Husband Helping His Wife Buy Makeup Captures A True Love Story

This Photo Of A Husband Helping His Wife Buy Makeup Captures A True Love Story

The latest viral photo will give beauty lovers some serious relationship goals... and the rest of us too, for that matter.

Love What Matters shared a photo of an elderly couple picking out makeup in a supermarket, which sounds pretty commonplace. Until you read the caption.

"This husband was helping his wife choose a makeup that matched her skin tone. She was so concerned about finding the right one and he was so unbelievably helpful," the post reads.

"She was having a 'girl' moment, in a panic struggling to find the right one. He calmed her down, helped her find her colour and kissed her on the forehead.

"It was such a simple way to show how big his love was for her. A perfect reminder that our bodies grow old but our love doesn't have to."

The photo, originally submitted by Hannah Nicole Kent, has racked up over a million likes on Facebook alone - and it's not hard to see why.

Brb, we just have something in our eyes...

Tips To Finding The Perfect Foundation
Know Your Skin (01 of10)

Before buying any beauty product, it's important to know how your skin works. Figuring out your skin's sensitivities will make it easier to choose a foundation that is right for you. (credit:Alamy)

Before you set your eyes on the perfect foundation, make sure you test it out. "People often use the back of their hand to match their colour, but your jawline will be your best guide," says Simone Otis, a Joe Fresh Beauty consultant. (credit:Alamy)
Don't Be Afraid To Mix Tones (03 of10)

If you don't necessarily see your colour on the shelf, don't be afraid to mix it up. "You might need to experiment a bit, adding different amounts of each of your closest colours to create your ideal shade," Otis says. (credit:Alamy)
Consider Weather Changes (04 of10)

"If your skin colour changes with the seasons you should have a couple of different options for foundation," Otis says. (credit:Alamy)
Liquid Or Powder?(05 of10)

The age old makeup question: liquid or powder? "I prefer a light, buildable tinted moisturizer -- it looks more natural. You can apply thin layers to get the coverage you want while still achieving the 'no makeup' look. To prolong your base and remove unwanted shine, I like to set with a translucent powder," Otis says. Don't Be Afraid Of A Darker Shade (06 of10)

Most people tend to try or buy foundation shades that are too light for them. "Don't be afraid to try a darker shade, it might be your best match," Otis says. (credit:Alamy)
Depth Of Colours (07 of10)

When buying foundation, look at not only the depth of colour (dark vs. light) but also at the undertones (warm vs. cool). "Some colours are almost identical in their depth, but one will have a yellower hue while the other is slightly pinker," Otis says. (credit:Alamy)
Don't Forget Your Neck!(08 of10)

Foundation vs. Bronzer? (09 of10)

Naturally, most of us tan in the summer. If you're stuck between foundation or bronzer, remember you can always try both. "You can always go a shade darker in something sheer like a tinted moisturizer for a deep glow for summer or apply a bronzer [if you prefer]," Otis says. (credit:Alamy)
As A Primer (10 of10)

And foundation doesn't just have to be for complexion. You can use liquid foundation in alternative ways. "You can use it as a base or a primer. It can be a great way to give your lipstick lasting power," Otis says. (credit:Alamy)
