Lidl Launches £14.99 Rival Version Of GHD's £125 Straightening Brush

Too good to be true?

If you were tempted by the GHD Glide straightening brush when it was released earlier this year but were put off by the hefty £125 price tag or were too late – as it swiftly sold out – then we’re about to make your day.

Budget supermarket Lidl has launched its own version for just £14.99 – that’s a whopping saving of £110.

Much like its pricer counterpart, Lidl’s Silvercrest Hair Straightening Brush claims to tame unruly tresses, while adding volume and body. The ceramic heat element heats up quickly and is adjustable from 120 to 210°C. Anything that means we can get an extra 20 minutes in bed works for us – and the cheaper, the better.

We’ll be honest, HuffPost Finds has not tested either product and we can’t say whether they really are comparable. But the saving alone coupled with the fact GHD version is currently sold out, means you might as well it a try.

The brush is part of Lidl’s new own brand hair styling range, with prices starting from £9.99 to rival luxury hair products from electrical brands such as Dyson and GHD. In the collection you’ll also find a Hot Air Styler with six different attachments and an Ionic Hair Dryer.

We’re also really into the hairbrush range, which resembles the much-loved Tangle Teezer. The range includes a Styling Brush, Detangling Brush and Travel Brush but at a fraction of the price at just £1.99.
