MySpace has revealed the first look at its brand-new relaunch.

The social network, made famous as one of the first true 'web 2.0' success stories, has been lingering between various relaunches and total collapse for the best part of five years.

But the new version of the site has captured some impressive reactions since debuting on Tuesday.

Blending elements of Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter, with its impressive music service. Details on when the site will launch have not been released, but you can register interest here.

Specific Media and Justin Timberlake bought the site from News Corp for about $35m - down from the $580m News Corp paid for the site.

MySpace said in a statement:

"We're hard at work building the new MySpace, entirely from scratch. But we're staying true to our roots in one important way - empowering people to express themselves however they want.

"So whether you're a musician, photographer, filmmaker, designer or just a dedicated fan, we'd love for you to be a part of our brand new community."
