Office Workers Report 'Withdrawal Symptoms' After An Hour Without Mobile Signal

Six out of 10 office workers get 'withdrawal symptoms' if they are deprived of mobile phone signal for more than an hour, a new survey has claimed.

Around 60% of workers said they become "annoyed or anxious" if they can't make calls and get email during the working week.

Only 10% said that being deprived of signal made them 'relieved' - even though a quarter said that receiving a work email outside of office hours made them stressed.

The stats were revealed in a poll by YouGov for outsourcing company Firstsource Solutions. More than 2,100 adults were asked about their mobile habits via an online survey.

Other stats in the report revealed that 30% of UK office workers go online with their mobile during the day - and one in 10 do so more than five times a day.

What do you think? Do you get stressed without mobile signal?
