Forget The Summer Heat, It's Time To Get Your Head Around Autumn Trends

Despite the current temperature in London hitting the 29c mark, we are seeing the pre Autumn Winter collections landing on the site and in stores. I like most other people have just booked my summer holiday and have laid out my beach wardrobe ready to be packed, but there is another part of me that is craving the new rich colours and fabrics of the new collections. It seems that I am not the only one as sales of coats, the new 70s-style winter boots and elegant structured tote bags are flying.

Even our new style ambassador the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton has captured the hearts of the world with her navy Roland Mouret shift, naval blazer, teamed with the new Mulberry Polly Pocket tote bag, before switching into an effortlessly chic black and white lace Erdem dress. Switching from her summery white Temperley dress at Wimbledon just a few dates ago. All eyes are on the Duchess to see which is the next designer of choice, as whatever she chooses to wear is likely to become a sell-out success.

Amazingly we have another three months before the temperatures drop ready for us to whip out those new season cocoon coats and block heel boots, but for now we can embrace the pre collections, which provide beautiful trans-seasonal pieces, perfect for both the final summer months and into Autumn. My wardrobe shopping list has already switched to colourful shift dresses by Preen, block heel court shoes from DVF and of course the Mulberry Polly Push navy tote as sported by the Duchess herself.
