Taxi For Emma

An unemployed graduate frustrated by a lack of interviews has gone to new lengths to find a job by advertising her CV in a London black cab.

Emma Clifford, a Canterbury Christchurch University graduate has been on the hunt for a job since June, but to no avail. The 21-year-old plastered her face on the underneath of black cab seats after applying for jobs but not even being given an interview.

I’m yet to get a single interview. All I’ve had is emails back saying: “Thank you for applying, but we’ve been inundated with applications'," she told student paper the Tab.

Clifford, who graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature says her dream job would be a publicity or marketing assistant.

"I've got to admit it is a bit disheartening to work really hard at university to get a 2:1 and then not be able to get a job at the end of it," she told the Daily Mail. "But given the difficult economic climate I always knew I wouldn't just be able to walk into a job.

"It's been three months now since I graduated and I decided I've got to try and do something different to get myself noticed."

The graduate's stunt follows in the footsteps of Adam Pacitti, who spend his last £500 on a billboard advert.
