Clare is a 24 year-old Masters student of World Literature at the University of Oxford

Clare is a 24 year-old Masters student of World Literature at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on 20th century Nigerian Fiction and non-standard English as a literary medium. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2016 with a degree in English and Ancient Greek and in her final year completed work on depictions of teenage pregnancy in contemporary Irish YA novels. She also sits on the board of ShoutOut, a charity which provides workshops to educate school students, parents & guardians, teachers, youth workers and workplaces on LGBTQ+ issues. She is passionate about reproductive rights, education, decolonising the curriculum and the Irish language.
