Jenny Swingler

Co-Artistic Director of Clout Theatre

Jenny is a Performer, Director and Writer based in London. She makes work that is uncompromising in its pursuit to capture the absurdity of our existence and the darkly comic nature of mankind. In 2011 she co-founded Clout Theatre and they continue to make Absurd and Grotesque Theatre. She is currently doing an MA in Contemporary Performance Practice at Royal Holloway where she is making a solo piece, The Gods have gone out to Lunch, based around research into Psychogeography and small acts of rebellion in urban landscapes. She has taken work to the Meyerhold Centre in Moscow, Maschinenhaus Essen, Battersea Arts Centre in London, Istanbul Municipal Theatre, Summerhall in Edinburgh, Beijing People's Theatre, and the Louvre Museum in Paris. Jenny will be performing in Clout’s FEAST from 2nd-6th February 2016 at Battersea Arts Centre, a worldless and grotesque show delving into the evolution of humanity, exploring how our relationship with nourishment has changed throughout history.
