Dr Keith Devlin is a mathematician at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, where he directs the H-STAR institute, which he co-founded in 2006. He is also a co-founder of the educational technology company BrainQuake. He blogs regularly for mathematically-inclined readers at http://profkeithdevlin.wordpress.com/ and http://devlinsangle.blogspot.com/. He has written 32 books and over 80 published research articles. Recipient of the Pythagoras Prize, the Peano Prize, the Carl Sagan Award, and the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics Communications Award. In 2003, he was recognized by the California State Assembly for his "innovative work and longtime service in the field of mathematics and its relation to logic and linguistics." He is known to millions of NPR listeners as "The Math Guy" on Weekend Edition with Scott Simon.
