Martin Preston

Founder of Port of Call, an addiction advice service

Martin Preston founded Port of Call in January 2015 to help individuals and affected others on the first steps to overcoming addiction. After initially working in advertising, Martin felt compelled to pursue a more fulfilling career helping others. Martin, himself a recovering addict, was conscious of the lack of clear help for people suffering from addiction – many of whom were confused by the range of treatment options or simply unsure where to start. He set up Port of Call, employing people with similar experiences and professional training, to ensure others would have a sympathetic and knowledgeable place to turn when they needed help.
