Paul Fitzsimons is the General Manager for the Power and Energy sector at leading consulting engineering firm, GIBB. He holds a wealth of knowledge and experience in the engineering fraternity and is passionate about tackling industry challenges. He has served on industry bodies such as the Nuclear Industry Association of South Africa regulatory affairs sub-committee and the South African Industry Forum on Radiation. He has also served as a technical expert for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Having obtained his first degree, BSc (Hons) in Applied Physics from the engineering faculty at the John Moores University in Liverpool, UK, Fitzsimons went on to complete a diploma in Operations and Industrial Management. He studied further and now holds an MBA from the Lancaster University Management School and is a Fellow of the Charted Management Institute in the UK. He has a wealth of experience as Operations Manager for various local and international mining and engineering service providers.
