Sophie Cooklynn, 21, from Bootle, near Liverpool, is unable to play with her son and left alone in a small bedroom because of a debilitating brain condition that some people refuse to accept exists. Severe ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has made her toddler Lucas' touch and voice too painful to tolerate. She is forced to wear dark glasses and earplugs and struggles to move her body at all, and has to sleep away from her fiance, Phil. Sophie today spoke out about the reality of her condition as she said some people saw her as "lazy" and failed to understand ME.
