Cyclist Left Fighting For Life After Being Kicked Off His Bike In Hackney

Police release CCTV footage as victim remains in critical condition a week after attack.

A Hackney cyclist who kicked another man off his bike and left him fighting for his life is being sought by police.

CCTV footage shows the suspect approaching a 30-year-old man cycling on Wallis Road in Hackney, east London, on Sunday, March 10 at around 12.45pm.

He began to cycle alongside the victim before kicking him off his bike, causing him to crash into a parked car.

The attacker, described as a white man in his 20s or 30s, continued into the direction of Berkshire Road, the Metropolitan Police said.

The victim was rushed to hospital and remains in a critical condition more than a week later.

Officers are urging witnesses or anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV footage to call 101 quoting reference 3718/10MAR19.

Police also want to hear from anyone in the Hackney area who may have been threatened by the suspect around the time of the incident.
