Donald Trump is coming to London again.

The US president will attend a Nato summit in December and will no doubt be hoping for a smoother UK visit than his previous in July of last year.

Trump, who has repeatedly criticised the military alliance, will meet heads of state in the capital, Nato secretary general Jens Stoltenberg announced in a tweet on Wednesday.

Last year the president was met with huge protests up and down the country, dropped a bombshell on Theresa May as he was dining with her and visibly annoyed the Queen.

Around 100,000 people gathered in Trafalgar Square in one of the largest protests the country has ever seen.

The president had been in the UK for a little over eight hours at this point.

He also attacked May’s negotiating strategy, adding: “I would have done it much differently. I actually told Theresa May how to do it but she didn’t agree, she didn’t listen to me.”

Then, to top off a pretty disastrous weekend, Trump arrived at Windsor Castle where the Queen literally had to teach him how to walk in a straight line.

Oh, and who could forget the blimp...
