Everyone Is Asking Alexa To Fart After Video Of Grandad And Kids Goes Viral

We challenge you not to find this funny 💨

People across the UK have started asking their Alexa to fart after a video of two boys and their grandfather went viral.

Felix and Leo were filmed by their dad, Nick, attempting to cheer up their grandad Paul by asking the virtual assistant to make fart sounds.

Nick said: “Dad has had a pretty awful year all things considered. He has been in and out of hospital and has been feeling pretty miserable of late.

“Whenever his grandchildren pay him a visit, however, his mood lifts. They are just the tonic he needs.

“As I was in dad’s kitchen, doing his online shopping, I overheard my youngest son telling my father that, like him, he also had an Amazon Echo Dot.

“Dad has never really used his, so my son decided to show him how it works, by asking Alexa to fart.”

The Harvey family from Crowborough, East Sussex then decided to share the video on Twitter and it has now been viewed more than 430,000 times.

Nick said: “I popped to see Dad this morning and I told him how much joy his laughter was bringing to people. He was absolutely thrilled.”

The audio was also played on Greg James BBC Radio 1 breakfast show, meaning people up and down the country got to hear Paul’s hearty laugh – including Hugo Catchpole, an Alexa Skills Developer, and the man responsible for developing the “flatulence”. He decided to get in touch with the family.

Not only have families been enjoying the video but people have also been inspired to try the trick out for themselves.

Nick said: “I have never been more proud.”
