Kid Rock had been blasted for making lewd and “sexist” remarks about Taylor Swift in a shocking Twitter outburst.
The country music singer, who supports Donald Trump, accused her of supporting the Democrats in order to crack Hollywood, claiming she was opposing the president to further her film career.
Taylor recently broke her long-held silence on political matters to criticise the right-wing Republican party.
Kid Rock, - real name is Robert Ritchie - tweeted: “Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period.”
He then made sexually suggestive comments about what he believed Taylor would do to succeed in Hollywood.
He added: “Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl. -Kid Rock.”
Chrissy Tiegen was one of the first to call him out, replying: “You’re pathetic.”
Her sentiments were echoed by many others online...
It is unclear what prompted Kid Rock’s remarks, but Taylor has previously been criticised for staying out of politics.
She has recently become a vocal critic of Trump, also voicing support for pro-LGBT policies and announced she was voting Democrat in the mid-term elections last year.
Taylor is yet to respond to Kid Rock’s tweet.
