Hollywood star Chris Evans has defended Daniel Craig after Piers Morgan criticised the James Bond star for carrying his two-month old baby in a baby carrier.

Daniel was snapped with his baby in a papoose earlier this week, which prompted Piers to tweet: “Oh 007.. not you as well?!!!” Adding the hashtags ‘#papoose’ and ‘#emasculatedBond’.

The tweet sparked immediate outrage from parents on Twitter with many fathers sharing pictures of them carrying their babies in similar carriers.

The ‘Captain America’ star joined in the criticism and tweeted a fierce rebuttal of Piers interpretation of masculinity.

He Tweeted: “You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.”

The post was retweeted 24,000 times within three hours, before Piers replied: “Captain America wouldn’t wear a papoose.”

Since then Piers has been rebuffing his critics on Twitter.

He even tried to get Donald Trump on side.

Piers’ ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-presenter Susanna Ried also joined in...

Piers has recently got in trouble with Ofcom for refusing to give a right of reply to Herefordshire Council after a homeless SAS veteran appeared on ‘Good Morning Britain’ and said the local authority had not given him a home.
