Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh has revealed she’s already taking severe measures to ease the aches and pains of life as a Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

Ranvir made her Strictly debut on Saturday night, where she and partner Giovanni Pernice won praise for their Paso Doble routine.

And during Wednesday’s edition of GMB, she showed viewers just how much rehearsing for the BBC dance show has been taking its toll.

“This week two malarkey is really hard,” Ranvir told viewers. “You’ve got hardly any days and you are learning a whole new dance.”

It was then revealed that Ranvir was actually sitting at the GMB desk with her feet in a box of ice.

“My foot is really sore,” Ranvir told co-host Adil Ray, when he questioned why the ice box was present. “It’s not all glamour, people. It’s not. But it’s great fun.”

Showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold then joked: “Essentially I have no ice for my gin after the show now.”

This week, Ranvir and Giovanni will be tackling a Quickstep to the Stevie Wonder classic You Are The Sunshine Of My Life, ahead of the first elimination of the series in Sunday night’s results show.

Other performances to look out for include HRVY’s Viennese Waltz, which follows his show-stopping Jive in the first live show, and what promises to be a scene-stealing Samba from former MP Jacqui Smith.

Find out how all 12 of the Strictly couples get on in Saturday night’s live show, airing at 7.15pm on BBC One. Good Morning Britain airs every weekday from 6am on ITV.
