Sharon’s comments come after she filmed an appearance on the BBC’s family history show Who Do You Think You Are?, in which she told of how her Jewish father Don Levy was tortured as a British soldier during the Second World War.

Speaking about Corbyn, who has been blamed for allowing the rise of anti-Semitism in the Labour party, the music manager said: “Oh my God, I hate him so much. I want to hurt him. I want to physically hurt this man. He is the most arrogant, ugly fuck. I want to hurt him.

“Oh my God, he is revolting, so ugly, inside and out. This ugliness oozes from him, he’s repulsive,” she added of the politician, who has always insisted he is not anti-Semitic.

Sharon, who describes herself as “49 per cent Irish and the rest is Ashkenazi Jewish”, said of the rise of anti-Semitism: “It’s always been around and it will always be around and that’s what terrifies me because of all the ugly groups that are coming up all over the world.

“It’s always the Jews or the blacks or the Muslims — everybody hates somebody.”

Sharon explained that her father was persecuted as a Jewish man during his time in the army, claiming soldiers would wake him up at three in the morning when it was “pissing down with rain” and make him dig a hole outside.

“There he was fighting for his country and everybody was torturing him,” she said.

During her appearance on Who Do You Think You Are?, Sharon was unable to trace her father’s eastern European Jewish heritage, as all the records had been “destroyed”.

Instead, she explored her Irish Catholic mother’s family history.

Sharon Osbourne’s episode of Who Do You Think You Are? airs on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
