This year’s Strictly Come Dancing final is to feature a very special royal cameo, it’s been revealed.

Every year, the Strictly final includes a montage of video messages from celebrities and fans of the show discussing their favourite moments from the series and what makes Strictly so special.

PA News has reported that 2020 will be no exception, and among the famous fans will be none other than Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The Duchess of Cornwall will appear alongside other Strictly viewers, discussing the joy that the show has brought in what’s been a turbulent year for so many around the world.

Obviously, we’re excited to hear what Camilla has to say about the BBC dancing show.

However, we can’t help but feel like if we had to hear her thoughts on one of 2020’s biggest shows, Strictly wouldn’t have been our top pick...

Camilla isn’t actually the first royal to appear during this year’s series, though, with Prince Harry previously chatting to JJ Chalmers via video-link while he was training for one of his live performances.

Pop singer HRVY, comedian Bill Bailey, EastEnders star Maisie Smith and reality star Jamie Laing are the four stars competing for the glitterball trophy in this year’s final.

HRVY and Bill are in good stead to be crowned Strictly champion, with both of them having avoided landing in the dreaded dance-off throughout the series.

If HRVY, Maisie or Jamie were to win the show, it’d be the first time any of their professional partners – Janette Manrara, Gorka Márquez and Karen Hauer, respectively – had ever won Strictly.

Meanwhile, if Bill triumphs, his dancing partner Oti Mabuse will become the first Strictly pro to win the show two years in a row.

Find out how each of the remaining four celebrities gets on in this year’s Strictly final, airing on Saturday night at 6pm on BBC One.
