'Strictly Come Dancing': Susannah Constantine Tells Line-Up Critics To 'Get The F*** Over It'

'I'm sorry, but get over yourself.'

Susannah Constantine has some choice words for anyone unhappy with the calibre of celebrity on this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ line-up.

Last month, Susannah was the last star revealed to be taking part in this year’s series, though some ‘Strictly’ fans have suggested producers might be stretching the word “celebrity” when it comes to some of the contestants.

The former ‘What Not To Wear’ star has now had her say on the subject, urging her detractors to, in her words, “get the fuck over it”.

“It’s like, for fuck’s sake,” she told Metro, when asked for her thoughts on the backlash. “I’m sorry, but get over yourself. You know?

“Really, this is a great show, we are all really privileged to do it. It’s a fun show, it’s entertainment and we’re all here to do our best. So just get over it.”

Susannah isn’t the only one of this year’s stars to have hit back at their critics, with Stacey Dooley publicly responding to one journalist who branded the new batch of contestants a “ragtag bunch of D-listers”.

“You know what I LOVE to do for a living? As a grown man?” she wrote. “Slate people I don’t know. Damn… you must feel fulfilled everyday you get up for work.

“Ps. Next time you write about me, it’s ‘Stacey Dooley MBE’ ...k?”

The new series of ‘Strictly’ launches tonight on BBC One, during which the 15 celebrities finding out for the first time which professional dancer they’ve been partnered with, as well as taking part in a group number.
