Uri Geller Wants To Stop Brexit Using His Mind Powers, But He Needs Our Help

"Be with me, let’s do this, we don’t have much time."

Spoon-bending extraordinaire Uri Geller got the week off to a flying start during Monday’s Good Morning Britain, revealing his hopes to throw the brakes on Brexit with the power of his mind.

Appearing via satellite link, Uri told presenters Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan that he hopes that his telepathy techniques can help plant the idea in Theresa May’s head that she should allow the British public to vote again in a second referendum.

However, he went on to say that if his plan to stop Brexit is going to work, he’s going to need all of us to get involved.

“I’m not a prophet and I’m not a guru and a miracle worker but I believe with the power of the mind if we concentrate, no matter how far out this sounds, together with me at 11:11 every morning AM and PM, just think the following: ‘Theresa bring us to a second vote. Go for a second referendum’.”

Well, if there’s one thing we love, it’s a catchy slogan.

When a typically-skeptical Piers asked exactly where Uri’s interest in Brexit stemmed from, the illusionist and self-professed psychic explained: “I passionately care about people in the UK, especially the young people.

“If Brexit…if the deal is done. The recession, the economic chaos. UK will be isolated not only from the EU from the entire world. It’ll be a catastrophe.”

He concluded: “All my life is a gamble, but I have the power, I believe in you people in the UK… be with me, let’s do this, we don’t have much time.”

Earlier in the interview, he also revealed his personal connection to the current PM, noting: “I’ve known Theresa May for over 21 years, I lived in the same village [where] she still does.

“She visited my home, I took her to the garage, I pointed at the spoon belonging to Winston Churchill, three years before, and I bombarded her mind.”

Uri previously shared an open letter to Theresa May on his Facebook, detailing the aforementioned meeting, including him “inviting her to touch” his Churchill spoon.

“I love you very much but I will not allow you to lead Britain into Brexit,” he wrote. “As much as I admire you, I will stop you telepathically from doing this - and believe me I am capable of executing it.”

Good Morning Britain airs every weekday from 6am on ITV.
