So let's find out who's made it into the Top Five Emerging Icons Live this week...

Wednesday 3rd July

A couple of days after performing live on ITV's 'This Morning', those happy chappies in the 'funky folk' ensemble that form The Robbie Boyd Band will be taking to the stage at the gorgeous Bush Hall. This is a group whose fanbase doesn't seem to stop growing... from securing top slots at amazing live venues to their countless appearances on national radio; their chipper, organic melodies seem to hit a soft spot in all who hear them. For the 'Painted Sky' EP launch party, they'd like to invite all those new music fans looking for fresh feel-good vibes to come and celebrate with them by having a ruddy good knees up. Spirits are going to be high and there should be a fair bit of dancing, so we reckon you'd be daft to miss this one.

Friday 5th July

Indie rock outfit The Moth Lantern are kicking off their festival season with an appearance on BBC Introducing's stage at this year's SO Festival down in Skegness. For three days, the Lincolnshire coastal town will be transformed to host all things wonderful and creative- including our local heroes and their back-catalogue of catchy tunes. With affable frontman Jason Rungapadiachy leading proceedings, their class approach to melodic acoustic-infused songwriting will be sure to make an impact on all those checking out the new faces on the bill. If you're planning on going along do show 'em your support. They're a right cheeky bunch so they're sure to entertain...

Friday 5th July

Our summer of pop-up festivals continues with another cracking line-up of talent down at Westfield London this week. Joining the bill on Friday is the hook-laden genius of Londoners The Shallows, boasting a dynamic setlist that'll get stuck in your head all weekend. In a world where guitar wielding indie bands are ten a penny, an act like this stands head and shoulders above the rest. With so many songs destined for hit status, it really is a waiting game til some industry bigwig spots the extremely accessible potential of this lot and they skyrocket to hugeness. Our advice? Go see them while you still can. This is a great opportunity to witness some of the most promising new talent in a venue like you won't experience again...

Sunday 7th July

Westfield Presents Emerging Icons Live continues into the weekend with an exclusive opportunity to enjoy an amazing acoustic performance from the multi-talented genius that is Arrows Down. With his material ranging from pure electro productions to orchestral and chilled piano instrumentals, this guy is something of a beguiling presence on London's music scene. Some of you may even recognise the man behind the music, Tom Cameron, from his turn delivering a fiery vocal performance for rockers Crystal Head. But this set comes with a strictly laid back vibe to be savoured on this Sunday afternoon. It's going to be glorious.

Sunday 7th July

Finally this week, we have a lady who needs little introduction. Emerging Icons Headliner Raphaella is an act we tip for phenomenal success in the future- and as soon as you hear her voice you will understand exactly why. A pop talent unlike any other out there, this is an artist in the truest sense of the word. We don't want to be busting out too many clichés here... but hers is a vocal performance that really will send tingles down your spine. It's not often you can say that happens in the middle of a busy shopping centre. Do the right thing and make sure you go along and experience this performance for yourself...

If you can't make it down to any of these shows, don't panic! There are plenty more just waiting to be discovered. All you have to do is click on the GIGS tab at the top of our homepage where you can find listings from loads more amazing artists!
